History
For decades, many people with disability were afforded little choice but to live in publicly funded institutions like Woodlands – separated from family and friends, devoid of choice and opportunity, and isolated from their communities. But then came change
The Community Living Society is governed by a volunteer board that provides direction and guidance to the organization. The Board of Directors includes family members of people served by CLS, community professionals and self-advocates
The members of the Community Living Society leadership team bring a broad range of life and work experiences in identifying and serving the needs of people with developmental disabilities
The CLS recognizes that we are fortunate to live and work amongst and within a very culturally diverse province and as such actively celebrate and honour this diversity in meeting the varied needs of all of our stakeholders
