It is with mixed emotion that I write you today to inform you that the CLBC Board has appointed Ross Chilton as their next Chief Executive Officer. He will move into his new role on August 12, 2019.
Ross has worked tirelessly to grow supports and services within our organization for the last 12 years, and has moved the organization to become one of the most well respected societies in the sector. I am not surprised that with his strong track record in the community social services sector and his outstanding and innovative leadership style, that he was selected for this very important role. In addition, Ross’ previous service on the Boards of the Family Support Institute, the BC Non-Profit Housing Society, the BC CEO Network and Steps Forward would have placed him as the leading candidate.
The CLS has been extremely lucky to have Ross as their CEO as he brought his strong values, energy, innovative approach, superior interpersonal relationships and compassion to his work. His understanding of the opportunities and challenges related to advancing inclusion, and citizenship for all, has always been at the forefront of his objectives.
The Board will be making an announcement regarding an interim CEO in the near future. Please join me in congratulating Ross and wishing him well in his new role.
